Bird Dog
Develops coordination, balance, and spinal stability by training opposite arm and leg movements.
Unlike traditional sit-ups, these exercises emphasise endurance, proper technique, and spinal protection.
Active Mobility: Restoring Healthy Movement
Mobility is often misunderstood as simply stretching.
True mobility is the ability to move joints through a comfortable, controlled range of motion while maintaining stability.
Daily mobility exercises may include:
- Cat-Cow
- Thoracic rotations
- Hip flexor stretch
- Glute bridge
- Gentle spinal mobility exercises
These movements help reduce stiffness, improve circulation, and encourage healthy movement patterns.
A Simple 10-Minute Daily Routine
Consistency matters more than intensity.
An effective daily routine may include:
Mobility (2–3 minutes)
- Cat-Cow × 10
- Thoracic rotations × 5 each side
Core Stability (5 minutes)
- Modified Curl-Up
- Side Bridge
- Bird Dog
Recovery (2–3 minutes)
- Glute Bridge
- Hip Flexor Stretch
- Deep diaphragmatic breathing
As strength and control improve, gradually increase repetitions or hold times while maintaining excellent technique.
